Privacy Policy
Selective Content Hider Chrome extension
Introduction
Selective Content Hider (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how information is stored when you use the extension.
Information we store
On your device, the extension may save:
- Selectors and labels for sections you chose to hide, keyed by website
- Settings such as highlight, persistence, similar-item matching, restore stubs, and paused sites
We do not collect personal information, browsing history, page content, credentials, or analytics.
How that information is used
It is used only to remember hidden sections, keep your preferences, and restore content when you ask.
Where it lives
- Rules and settings are stored in your browser (Chrome local storage).
- If you are signed in to Chrome and Sync is on, settings and as many rules as quota allows may copy through Google Chrome Sync.
- A JSON export is a file you save. The extension does not upload it.
- We do not operate servers for this extension and do not sell or share your data.
Your control
- Restore or clear hides from the popup or the All sites page
- Clear extension data in Chrome settings
- Disable or remove the extension to delete associated data on that profile
Third parties
The extension does not include tracking code or call our APIs. Chrome Sync, if you enable it, is provided by Google as part of Chrome.
Children
This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
